My son recently turned four and he requested a dinosaur birthday party. So I pushed my sleeves up and created a terribly cute dino party.
I was on a budget, so most of everything I already had and the rest I got at my local dollar store or Walmart. Here’s how the dessert table looked.
This is my favorite! I got these cute little nests at Walmart and I placed Kinder surprise eggs on top of them for dino eggs. Some of them were already broken but it looked like they were just hatching so it was fun to pretend that was the idea.
I made the cake myself, and as homemade looking as it is, I’m still amazed that I made it! I like how it turned out and it was a hit with the kids too.
A jumbo Kinder surprise for the Birthday boy.
Dollarama to the rescue again.
Gumballs and covered oreos, my go-to treats, they make excellent displays.
I got the party favors at the dollar store too, and tied a Thank You tag onto it with rustic looking twine, I thought it made a good jungle-like feel.
